Francine “Fran” Atkins is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern who was born and raised in Jamaica, West Indies (W.I.). Fran received her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, Florida. Fran completed a Master’s degree in Mental Health and Addiction Counseling at Palm Beach Atlantic University. She has 22 months experience working with adults struggling with substance abuse and mental health issues, both on an inpatient and an outpatient level. Additionally, Fran has worked for two years with at-risk youth at the Palm Beach Substance Abuse Coalition. It was during this time that Fran became very passionate about helping those affected by substance abuse, and wanted to learn more about working with adults and youth with substance abuse issues. Fran really believes that it is rewarding to work in this field to see the growth, transformation, and hope that people are able to show, as they start their new journey of sobriety. Fran enjoys working in such an awesome field where people can realize their need for Christ and allow Him to drastically transform their lives.
